MFG Proud Return as Start Line Host Sponsor for the 2025 EV Rally
Motor Fuel Group, the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator, is pleased to announce its continued sponsorship of the EV Rally, returning this year as the official Start Line Host for the event this September. Now in its fifth year, the EV Rally has rapidly become an important and highly anticipated event in the UK, showcasing the capability of EVs and the strength of the country’s charging infrastructure.
As Start Line Host, MFG will welcome teams and vehicles at the beginning of this year’s ‘Explorer’ route, highlighting the latest advancements in electric vehicles. The event provides a unique platform to demonstrate the real-world performance of EVs and the critical role of robust charging networks across the UK to facilitate the growth of the uptake of EVs in order to meet climate goals.
MFG continues to invest heavily in the expansion of its ultra-rapid EV charging network, with a particular focus on delivering reliable, accessible charging solutions in every region, from major cities to rural communities. With over 1,000 ultra-rapid chargers already installed over 170 hubs and investment plans to reach 3,000 by 2030, this is the highest rollout of multi-bay, open ultra-rapid charging hubs in the roadside retail and supermarket sectors. MFG remains dedicated to making EV adoption easier for all drivers through its committed c.£400 million investment in ultra-rapid 150kW, 300kW and 400kW EV Chargers, ensuring users have rapid, convenient charging across the UK.
Martin Symes, EV Director, MFG, commented:
“We are proud to support the EV Rally for another year, this time as the Start Line Host. This event is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the progress being made in EV technology and infrastructure, and it aligns with MFG’s commitment to driving the UK’s transition to electric vehicles. Our investment in EV infrastructure is nationwide, and we are especially proud of our growing presence in Cornwall and the South West. By supporting events like the EV Rally, we are not only celebrating innovation but also reinforcing our commitment to a sustainable future for UK motorists.”
